Dragonball Z: Fusion Reborn

Dragonball Z: Fusion Reborn debuts on Cartoon Network tonight at 9:30 PM Eastern Time. I saw this movie already via LimeWire, but I love to see it again with the English dub. My favorite part is when:

[SPOILERS]: Vegeta gets annoyed when Goku tells him he's already dead; "I'd rather die than fuse with you!"[/SPOILERS]

When I get some extra cash, I'm going to buy it to add to me DBZ movie collection, but I don't know about the Bio Broly movie. The fanboys were right about that one, it does suck. Want to know why? Because Vegeta isn't in it. That's my reason, but the real reason is because Broly doesn't do much in the movie. All they do is stand around and talk about him with Mr. Satan, then these scientists finally show him, but end up getting killed a few minutes later. Well, once you see it, you'll understand my point. The Bio Broly movie, that is.

There were a couple of episodes of "NHK ni Youkoso!" or "Welcome to the NHK!" that made me "home sick." Want to know why?

If you're familiar with the MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI, and has visited my sister blog, "Nakashima of Remora," then you know why I feel like this.

From the episode, "Welcome to Reality," Sato is offered a trial subscription to the game "Ultimate Fantasy." (/cry)

Sato checks out UF and he deals the the hardships of being a newbie; looking for money, armor, weapons, and difficulty of fighting high level monsters. lol

Along the way, he meets another player, Mia, who supposed to be a Mithra. SA10 (Sato's character's name) and Mia get along very well. Their relationship is almost familiar with my character, Nakashima, and a friend of mine, Tetsushi on FFXI. :O

Well, it ends here, I don't want to spoil the whole story. Be sure to check out the newly released episode 18 from Oyasumi subs.

Naruto [Episode 1]

This the first episode of the Japanese dubbed Naruto. I've been into this show for almost 3 years, but I'm not really into it. I love the characters and the story, but something bothers me about it...The fans always complain about the english dub. Trust me. There's nothing totally wrong with it, although Sakura and Naruto's voices takes some getting used to. People just don't like it because they are used to the Japanese dub. Come on! Steve Blum does the voice of Zabuza. What's wrong with that?

Azumanga Daioh

Another good anime is Azumanga Daioh. It's also another favorite with fans everywhere. It's basicaly an comedy anime with a school setting, and hardly any plotlines.

The anime is 26 episodes long and the manga is four volumes (North America graphic novel release) long. I love both of them. The manga got me hooked on Azumanga. After reading all four volumes in 2-3 months, I when and brought the DVD box set and watched all of that in one month. It was the best ride I had.

My favorite character is Sakaki. It seems like she has no interests, but she's madly in love with animals. Watch her go after "The Biting Cat" in every other episode. It's hilarious (and it's the selling point to the series, in my opinion)!

Then there's the other girls: Chiyo, Koyomi, Tomo, Kasuga (AKA Osaka) and Kagura. There's also Kaorin, but she doesn't get alot of screen time. I recommend this anime. It's the best anime I've seen this year (Though this was released in 2003)!

Ichigo 100%

A Love Hina wannabe? Well, it won't live up to Love Hina, but it's watchable.

OK...It's nothing like Love Hina at all. That show had alot of nose bleeds and punches that will send you flying all the way to Hokkaido or further if you took a peak at a girls hot spring. Ichigo 100% has a decent amount of comedy. This show is alright. It's interesting the first few episodes, but as the series comes to a close, it starts to get boring. There's also 3 OVAs and 3 Specials, which I have yet to check out.

One thing about this anime is that it's based on a Shounen Jump manga. Shounen Jump has published action manga, you know, like Dragonball Z, Bleach, Death Note, Naruto...They have alot of fighting and angst in those manga, but there are a few that doesn't contain shounen action, like Dr. Slump, and a few others that are in Japan only and have just made it to the U.S.

I wonder if this show will make it to the shores? And if it does, Ichigo 100% won't sound right. Maybe "100% Strawberries" or "Alot of Strawberries?" This will be interesting.

Death Note Anime U.S. Bound?

Rumor has it that a company has picked up the rights to the Death Note anime. We don't know who that company is yet. I saw this coming; that it would get licensed after it started airing. I guess someone will pick it up before the year is out. But whatever a company does...Do not have the fansubbers pull episode 6! It is the episode where they finally show L's face. Well, I saw it in the manga already, but I wanna see his face again in real time. :(

Great Teacher Onizuka

I recently just started watching "Great Teacher Onizuka" again. I originally started watching this anime back in 2003, but I stopped watching it when I couldn't find DVD volume 3 at Best Buy at the time, and couldn't afford it afterwards. I found some episodes on a couple of anime download websites. I still want to buy the DVDs, if only I can find them for under $25..

Anyway, Great Teacher Onizuka is about a former motorcycle gang member turned teacher. He helps out with the students problems and and has a crush on a girl at the school. This girl is an other teacher, but it's been so long since I saw this anime, I forgot her name. D; The voice actors are Steve Blum, who does the voice of Onizuka, and Wendee Lee, who does the voice of the girl whose name I can't remember...

Since I don't remember much from the beginning, I won't spoil it a lot. Anyone should check it out. It's a fan favorite!
